After working for many years as a Pub Manager and seeing the Pubs change to a more Fast Food Culture than a place that was an important part of the local identity and a focal point of the community, I decided the job was no longer for me.
My brother had become a Chimney Sweep in London and the idea had intrigued me for some time.
So I decided to combine the best parts of both trades:-
The friendly face and excellent Customer Care of the traditional local Publican as well as the professionalism and skills of a fully trained and qualified 21st Century Sweep and once again making the customer expectations important again.
So in August 2002 CRG Chimney Sweep was born in Portsmouth (as it had been our home for many years).

Hi I’m Dich, I’ve had many career twists and turns that have finally led me to join Steve at CRG who I happen to have also known socially for years.
After leaving Uni with a useless degree, many years were spent as an international DJ and producer with personal highlights working with Bob Marley’s cousin in Miami and working with Roger Sanchez and LTJ Bukem.
I then moved into writing music for ads (including Zanussi white goods – sexy stuff!!) after writing two unreleased albums.
Then many fun years as a corporate stage entertainer (2000+ events for 96,000 people in 27 counties), followed by starting a distillery locally.
Once turning the fine age of 50, I decided that I could slow down (don’t tell Steve!) and get some work life balance with CRG.
I absolutely love the challenging days, meeting fascinating people, and switching off at the end of each day. Love it.
